Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Casual Leader website (thecasualleader.com) and our programs, coaching, community, podcast, and free and paid resources (together, "the Services"), operated by Open Growth Group Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), located at 1111B S Governors Ave STE 37208, Dover, DE 19904, US.

By accessing or using the Services including browsing the website, subscribing to our newsletter, joining our community, or purchasing a program you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Description of service

The Casual Leader provides leadership and business education and support. The Services include:

  • The Startup Blueprint: an AI-first program that takes early-stage founders from idea to launched business, guided by an AI co-founder and a structured set of weekly skills, frameworks, and tools.

  • The Builder's Accelerator: a 3–6 month personalized program for growing SMBs, combining our frameworks, tools, and hands-on guidance to help you reach your next milestone.

  • Enterprise Partnerships: leadership and business transformation engagements that bring approachable, human-centered leadership strategies to larger organizations at scale.

  • Community: access to our online community of founders and leaders, including discussion, peer support, and member resources.

  • Resources: free and paid guides, toolkits, frameworks, and workshops covering practical, everyday business and leadership challenges.

  • The Casual Leader Podcast and other content we publish.

These programs and resources are designed to be practical and easy to apply, and are delivered through our website, our community, live and recorded workshops, and for the Startup Blueprint, an interactive AI co-founder (see "The AI co-founder and our skills" below).

We may add, change, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time, as described in "Availability and updates."

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a program or enter into a paid arrangement with us. You must be at least 13 years old to use the free portions of the Services; if you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Accounts

Some Services such as purchasing a program, joining the community, or accessing paid resources require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@thecasualleader.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

Pricing and payments

Prices for our programs, workshops, community membership, and other paid resources are listed on our website and may change from time to time. Changes do not affect a program or subscription you have already purchased for its current term.

One-time purchases. Programs, workshops, and downloadable resources purchased on a one-time basis grant you access as described at the point of sale.

Subscriptions and recurring memberships. Where a Service (such as community membership or an installment-based program) is billed on a recurring basis, it auto-renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel at any time through your account or by emailing contact@thecasualleader.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access until then.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe and/or PayPal. By purchasing, you agree to their terms, and you authorize us (through our processors) to charge your chosen payment method.

Refunds. Unless a specific program's terms state otherwise, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not substantially completed or downloaded the program or resource. For multi-month programs (such as the Builder's Accelerator) and Enterprise Partnerships, refund and cancellation terms are set out in the applicable program agreement and take precedence over this section. After the applicable window, refunds are at our discretion. To request a refund, contact contact@thecasualleader.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services to violate any applicable law or regulation.

  • Copy, redistribute, sublicense, resell, or publicly share our programs, resources, or community content without our written permission.

  • Reproduce paid materials for anyone other than yourself, or provide your account access to others.

  • Disrupt, harass, or abuse other community members, our team, or guests.

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

  • Attempt to circumvent access controls, payment requirements, or security measures.

  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or misuse the Services or other users' information.

Community conduct

Our community is a space for founders and leaders to learn and support one another. By participating, you agree to engage respectfully and in good faith, keep others' shared information confidential when asked, and follow any community guidelines we publish. We may moderate, remove content, or suspend or remove members who violate these Terms or our community guidelines, at our discretion.

Intellectual property

The Services including our programs, course materials, toolkits, frameworks, guides, written and audio content, branding, and the design and content of our website are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

When you purchase or access a paid resource or program, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use those materials for your own personal and internal business purposes only. You may not share, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written consent.

Your content. You retain ownership of the content you create and submit (for example, community posts, questions, and materials you develop during a program). By submitting content to our community or to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and share that content as necessary to operate and promote the Services. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you submit.

The AI co-founder and our skills

The Startup Blueprint and certain other Services include an AI co-founder in the shape of a custom plugin. The AI co-founder plugin is powered by Claude, a large language model developed by Anthropic. The underlying model is provided by Anthropic and your use of it is also subject to Anthropic's applicable terms and usage policies.

The programs, skills, frameworks, prompts, workflows, methodology, written and audio content, and overall experience that we have designed and built on top of Claude including The Startup Blueprint custom plugin and its weekly skills are the proprietary intellectual property of Open Growth Group Inc. Anthropic provides the model and Claude service; the skills, content, and program are ours.

Your limited license to use these materials (see "Intellectual property") does not grant you any right to copy, extract, reproduce, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create competing or derivative products from our skills, frameworks, prompts, or content, whether manually or using automated or AI tools. You agree not to use the Services to reverse-engineer, replicate, or train other models or products on our proprietary skills and content.

Educational and coaching disclaimer

The Services provide educational information, frameworks, coaching, and general business and leadership guidance. They do not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice, and no professional-client relationship is created by your use of the Services. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on our content.

We do not guarantee any particular outcome, result, revenue, growth, or business success from participation in our programs or use of our resources. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort, circumstances, and market conditions. Any examples, case studies, or testimonials are illustrative and are not a promise or guarantee of results.

AI-generated output

Some of our Services and resources including the AI co-founder custom plugin use artificial intelligence, powered by Claude (Anthropic), to generate suggestions, drafts, plans, and other content. When you use these features, your inputs are sent to Anthropic to generate responses. AI-generated output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unintended content. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all output before relying on or acting on it. Do not rely on AI-generated content for legal, financial, medical, or other consequential decisions without independent professional verification.

Copyright infringement (DMCA policy)

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on or shared through the Services infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent:

Open Growth Group Inc. Attn: DMCA Agent Email: contact@thecasualleader.com

Your notice must include: a description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; a description of the allegedly infringing material and where it can be found; your contact information; a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf; and your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices in accordance with applicable law, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material. Repeat infringers may have their access terminated.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Third-party services

The Services rely on and link to third-party platforms for example, our website and checkout (Squarespace), payment processing (Stripe, PayPal), the AI model powering our AI co-founder (Claude, by Anthropic), email and community tools, and embedded media (Spotify, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of third-party services.

Availability and updates

We aim to keep the Services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services including programs, resources, or community features at any time. Where a change materially affects a program you have purchased, we will use reasonable efforts to provide an equivalent alternative or a fair resolution.

Beta and experimental features

From time to time we may offer programs, resources, or features labeled "beta," "preview," "early access," or similar. These are provided for testing and feedback, may be incomplete or change significantly, and are provided "as is" without warranty. We may modify or discontinue them at any time without liability. Please don't rely on them for critical workflows.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Open Growth Group Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, lost business, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that they will meet your specific requirements or produce any particular result.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Open Growth Group Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your violation of these Terms; your misuse of the Services; content you submit that infringes the rights of any third party; or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war or terrorism, pandemics or epidemics, internet or infrastructure outages, government actions or regulations, labor disputes, or failure of third-party services.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and all remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and cancel any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification will survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through our website or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference) and any specific program agreement you enter into with us, constitute the entire agreement between you and Open Growth Group Inc. regarding the Services. Where a signed program agreement conflicts with these Terms, the program agreement governs for that program. These Terms supersede all prior agreements relating to their subject matter. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right shall constitute a waiver of that right.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Subject to the "Dispute resolution" section, any legal proceedings arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.

Dispute resolution

Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). If you are using the Services as an individual, the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules apply. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or organization, the AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules apply. Arbitration will take place in Wilmington, Delaware, or remotely at your election.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to contact@thecasualleader.com within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts specified in the Governing Law section.

Small claims exception. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court instead of arbitration, provided the claim falls within the court's jurisdictional limits.

Class action waiver. You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
